What is good news reporting?  How does the camera operator help the news get reported effectively? Pete D'Alonzo has decades of knowledge in the career.  Class is a lecture format for those interested, even slightly interested, in becoming a live media cameraman. He will share years of experience and tips and information about how to get into the field. Areas of emphasis: get the story right with references and research; build confidence and awareness in your news production techniques; get tools that Pete has used in his many years of experience with network/local/ENG/EFP news and feature production.  Two news stories are never the same, and this lecture will get you in a frame of mind to work on the fly and what that's like. Pete has practical information about: Camera settings/angles; audio quality, modualtion; lighting gel filters and spun; editing intuition, review of key subject matter that he will touch on in the lecture.
