Phlebotomy Technicians are in demand as one of the fastest growing occupations in healthcare. Launch your career as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1. Collect blood samples from patients in a hospital, clinical laboratory, medical office, or clinical setting. Through lectures and hands-on training, learn what you need to know about the circulatory system, venipuncture technique, specimen collection, risk factors, complications, and quality assurance. This course provides a complete learning experience—with 48 hours of classroom instruction and a 40-hour hands-on externship. The course is also designed to prepare you to take the National Certification exam to become a California Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1).
On the first day, you will need to bring: your ID (any govt or school ID is fine), High School Diploma or GED, and scrubs

A certificate of completion is awarded upon successful completion of the course. If you complete the course and pass the licensure exam, you will be a licensed Phlebotomist.
You must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
to enroll.
Materials fees are:
Scrub uniforms: cost varies
California State CPT 1 License Fee: $100.00
National Certification Exam Fee: $125.00
These fees are payable at the time of the exam and licensure.
Externship requirements:
All students must attend an externship interview and will do entry training (30 min of professional development) before they start. I will have to help each student coordinate with the interviewing manage. The students will also need to have ready to show proof of the following:
- Student Physical
- Background check/drug screening
- TB Test Results
- Immunization records or Titers for MMR, Varicella, Hep B, & TDAP/DTAP
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
