
4 day workshop, plus one required "shadow" day, will provide new and current hospitality workers with the knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in wine sales and service in winery tasting rooms, restaurants, wine bars and catering events. Instruction focuses on wine service, sensory wine evaluation, tasting room set up and organization, santitation protocols, and developing the social skills necessary to maximize guest experience. Also included are wine club sales, and legal compliance in the tasting room.
Class includes a day required to "shadow" a tasting room attendant. This will take place during operational hours in the tasting room of any one of the host wineries. Completion of all classes including the shadowing class, is required to receive the Certificate In Winery Tasting Room Sales and Service.
