ClassGraphic Misophonia or Selective Sound Sensitivity Syndrome is common but mostly unknown.  It affects 10-15% of adults, and usually begins in childhood.  With misophonia, a person hears a common sound, such as another person eating, and is immediately filled with anger (and sometimes disgust).  Misophonia includes similar extreme responses to visual stimuli, such as the sight of a person chewing or a person jiggling their leg.  This class will help you understand misophonia and effective management techniques.  Current treatment options will also be discussed.
